Any place can be Chinese carry-out but it takes something special to make it into BocaJump. Wing Ho has that. It's not the atmosphere or the location as much as the quality and quantity of the food. The Bocs favorite meal here is lunch where the under $5 special will get you a large helping of whichever entree you choose and either white or fried rice. And there's plenty of it, hot and fast. It comes in one of those large, dinner-type styrofoam containers so full that the lid barely stays shut. The BocaJump favorite? We're partial to the Schezwan chicken with fried rice or the sweet sour chicken. Friend rice is excellent and frankly, we've not had a bad experience here.
The prices are similar to any other Chinese restaurant $5.00 - 6.00 for a small and $7.00 - 9.00 for a large. It is a takeout only restaurant and it usually takes about 10-15 minutes for them to cook your food. It's great if you're working downtown Elgin and want something to take back for lunch.
You will always get enough to eat when you order from Wing Ho, and for the low price it's definitely worth it.
Quick Eats
The food could be as simple as a hot dog, as ethnic as a chimichanga, as nutritionally bereft as an Italian beef with peppers (au jus). Get friendly with your cardiologist. The Quick Eats staff (there really is a staff of Quick Eats experts, all under the age of 25, all short of money, all well-versed in subtleties of French fries) arrives unannounced and pay for their meals.
