Since 2005, the festival has worked to bring families together for an enriching event that promotes education and literacy in addition to engaging all participants with a diverse, interactive, and entertaining program celebrating the African-American culture. This year’s theme was African-American Firsts: Black Americans Who Have Shaped Our Country.
