Public's help sought in identifying gunman

(Elgin Police Department) Elgin Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect that is believed to have been involved in an armed robbery that took place at the Payday Loan Store, 268 S. State St. (Route 31) on Sunday, Nov. 20.
A clerk at the store said a man with a gun entered the business at about 11:50 a.m., came around the counter and demanded money. After taking the money, he left the store on foot.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches and weighing between 190 and 220 pounds. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt pulled up to conceal his face.
