A Carpentersville man has been cited in a weekend crash that sent him and 10 others to the hospital with minor injuries.

David G. House, 45, of the 1700 block of Farmside Drive, Carpentersville, was cited improper lane use that Elgin police said caused the six-car crash on Randall Road at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

According to police, House was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus when he became distracted and swerved into another lane. He hit a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe which caused a chain-reaction crash involving four other cars.
